Rule of Thirds

The rule of thirds is where a photographer lines up the objects in an image to draw the audiences eye to a certain point. It divides the picture into 9 even parts and the photographer lines up objects with the intersections of the lines. I got these images from Google.

Spooky Image

For this image, we turned a normal image into a spooky image for Halloween. I followed a tutorial for making a picture look like a statue. I first desaturated the image, then layered on a stone image, then added some shadows with dodging and burning and changed the eyes to red

Pop Art!

Above are 3 pictures of pop art that I like

For this project, we were supposed to take an image and make it a pop art image. The steps we took were first to make it black and white, second to adjust the threshold, third to color it a new color, fourth to add ben day dots, lines, or circles, then finally we made it 2x2 and adjusted the hue and saturation to change the colors. I had a lot of fun with this project because we got to use bright colors.

Change my look

For this image, I took a picture of my self, changed my hair color to black, changed my eye color to blue, put myself in a different image, and finally added in three additional objects.

For this image, I took a picture of Samantha and changed her hair color to red, eye color to green, changed her background to ireland, and then put 3 additional images in.

Hair and Eye Color

In this project, we learned how to alter the hair and eye color of a person in an image. In the first image, I changed the hair color of the model to red and in the second picture I turned the eye light blue. For my celebrity I chose a picture of Alexis Bledel who's eyes were originally light blue and hair was originally light brown.

Montage

In this project called montage, we were given multiple parts of a picture and an image of how they should look at the end. We learned how to add drop shadows, more effects, and also how to combine more than one picture to create a beautiful montage.

Layer Adjustments

In this image, I used many adjustments including selective color to make certain colors pop or even change, vibrance to make the colors more vibrant, and hue/saturation to change the saturation of the grass.
For this picture, I only used hue/saturation to alter the color of the flowers.
I mainly used vibrance and exposure for this image to edit the brightness of the cat's eyes.
In this picture I used black and white to make it more contrasting.
Finally, I used mainly brightness and contrast to make the waves and the pennies stand out.

All About Me!

In this image, I combined alot of the things that I enjoy and put them in a collage. I used alot of the different tools but the one I learned the most about was the text tool. I loved working on this project because I could use all of my favorite images and got to include all of my favorite things.

Crazy Combos

For this assignment, used the body of an animal cracker, the head of a hippo, butterfly wings, a possum tail, and some ugg boots. Some of the tools I used were the quick selection tool, the magnetic lasso tool, and the magic wand tool. I liked this project because it was fun to create a new creature from different parts yet it was also challenging to blend them to look realistic.

Magic Wand Assignment

For this assignment we got to know the Magic Wand tool. I selected the shapes on the left side of the picture and put them on the right to form a new picture. In the new picture, I see a house with bushes, unfinished stairs, and some sort of wierd object on the left of it.

Landscape Selections

For this assignment, we selected parts of a landscape picture using the Rectangular Marquee tool, Elliptical Marquee tool, Lasso Tool, Polygonal Lasso Tool, Quick Selection tool, and Magic Wand tool. I used these tools to create an abstract human.
